Last Updated: May 7, 2026
Access Alignment ("Access Alignment," "we," "us," or "our") operates accessalignment.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information of visitors to the Site, including specific disclosures required by California and European Union law.
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us through two points on the Site:
Contact page. When you submit our contact form, we collect your first name, last name, and email address so we can respond to your inquiry.
Substack newsletter subscription. When you subscribe to our newsletter through the Substack form embedded on the Site, Substack collects your email address (and any additional profile information you have shared with Substack) on our behalf. We periodically export subscriber email addresses from Substack into Kit (formerly ConvertKit) for list management purposes.
We also receive technical information automatically collected by our service providers — such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, and pages visited — for site operation, security, and analytics.
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account information, precise geolocation, biometric data, health information, or information about children under 16.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
Respond to inquiries submitted through the contact page
Deliver the newsletter and related content you have subscribed to
Manage our subscriber list
Operate, maintain, and improve the Site
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only with the following service providers, who process it on our behalf under contractual obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy:
Squarespace — website hosting and contact form processing
Substack — newsletter publishing, distribution, and subscriber data collection
Kit (formerly ConvertKit) — subscriber list management
We may also disclose personal information when required by law, in response to valid legal process, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition).
For information on how these providers handle your data, please see their respective privacy policies:
Squarespace: https://www.squarespace.com/privacy
Substack: https://substack.com/privacy
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies through Squarespace and our other service providers to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use our pages. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the Site may not function properly as a result.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, deliver services you have requested, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we will remove your information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights Under California Law
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you the following rights:

Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information beyond purposes permitted under the CCPA)
Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 9. We will verify your request before responding, typically by confirming information you have previously provided to us. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
